British Columbia Outcome Chart: Literacy Foundations - Social Studies

This outcome chart contains media-related learning outcomes from the British Columbia, Literacy Foundations - Social Studies curriculum, with links to supporting resources on the Media Awareness Network site.

It is expected that students will:

  • apply critical thinking skills, including questioning, comparing, summarizing, drawing conclusions, and defending, to a range of issues, situations, and topics
    demonstrate effective research skills, including:
    • accessing information

    • organizing information
    • presenting information
