Manitoba Outcome Chart: English Language Arts Grade 6 This outcome chart contains media-related learning outcomes from the Manitoba, Grade 6 English Language Arts curriculum, with links to supporting resources on the Media Awareness Network site. It is expected that students will: | listen, speak, read, write, view, and represent to explore thoughts, ideas, feelings, and experiences | | Discover and Explore - engage in exploratory communication to share personal responses and discover own interpretations
- assess personal collection of favorite oral, print and other media texts and discuss preferences for particular forms
Clarify and Extend - reflect on prior knowledge and experiences to arrive at new understanding
- explain personal viewpoints in clear and meaningful ways and revise previous understanding
- appraise ideas for clarity and ask extending questions; select from others; experiences and ideas to extend ways of knowing the world
